An excellent (but slightly mixed) day at a windy but thankfully dry Blackpool with Logan making the move up to Junior look easy. Poor Elgin was not happy today & just did not move to his usual standard plus I was meant to take Hamish today but he had to say at home as he hadn't been too well this week. Pissarro won his first first in Post Graduate and was considered for the Reserve CC. Well done to Katie for qualifying for the YKC Handling finals at Crufts next year. Me & the English now have a wee break from champ shows till SKC in August.

Irish Setter dog of 3 years, eyes could be a shade darker but the best mover of the four Irish Setters in this class, fit and well muscled, good outline and coat, happy showman." Judge Liz Cartledge.

At present, in movement, was just a bit more co-ordinated, than his attractive litter brother who was placed 3rd in this class" Judge Wendy Johnston (Loonbrae)
Of course the best thing was seeing Logan's brother Brodie (Shambellie Final Chapter). I've not seen him since he was 7 weeks old - and very much two peas in a pod! They especially have the same lovely, soft dark eyes.

Review of 2010 - Rowanmyle English Setters
The big news for 2010 was the arrival of Logan, who was soon one of the gang. He's a lovely boy & I am looking forward to getting him out and about in 2011. Elgin continued to do well, and Open Show wise he won his first Gundog Group and 11 Best of Breeds, and ends 2010 very close to getting his Show Certificate of Merit - fingers crossed that this will happen very soon. Hamish finally made the move up to Veteran & while he was only shown very lightly he did have some lovely wins including Best Veteran in Show at the ESSS Open Show, and Best Veteran in Breed at GBAS Champ Show. He will probably only attend a couple of shows in 2011.
